Phillip Earl Harting, of Augusta Georgia, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024.
He was known by family and friends as Phil. Phil was a loving husband of 46 years to Cindy (Harvey) Harting. He was a devoted father to Rhonda Carrillo, Joshua, and Matthew Harting.
He is survived in death by Cindy and the kids, as well as two daughters in law, Melissa and Lilia, and one son in law, Rigoberto. He is also survived by his grand children Makayla (William) Lewis, Haley Harting, Noah and Emerie Harting. Lastly, Phil has one great grandson, Liam Lewis.
Phil was a brother to Trent (Patty) Harting and Angie (Bill) Stephens.
Having joined the army at 17, Phil served his country as an infantry soldier but also trained as a medic. He spent time in Germany with the third Infantry Division. After his time in the army, Phil was a commercial vehicle operator for many years.
Phil was proceeded in death by one granddaughter, Ester Arabella Harting. He was also proceeded in death by his parents, Gerald and Keita (Fox) Harting.
A receiving of friends will take place on Tuesday, May, 28, 2024 from 1-3pm at Georgia Funeral Care at 4671 S. Main St, Acworth, GA 30101. A funeral will immediately follow. Flowers can be sent to the funeral home. The family will be gathering at the home of Josh and Melissa in Dallas, Georgia.
